Thousands Rally Against Palin in Alaska...

It's amazing how the mainstream media can miss such important
grassroots stories. The Alaska Women Reject Palin Rally was held
on the lawn of the Loussac Library in midtown Anchorage. Home
made signs were the idea to make a statement that Sarah Palin does
not speak for all Alaska women, or men.....

Spielbergs Give 100K for Gay Marriage

Steven Spielberg & wife Kate Capshaw have donated
$100,000 to the fight against California's November
ballot initiative that would overturn the state Supreme
Court decision legalizing gay marriage. They stated,
"By writing discrimination into our state constitution,
Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each & every
citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation.
Such discrimination has NO place in California's constitution,
or any other." BRAVO!!! They join Brad Pitt who gave the same
amount of $100,000 last week….Updates to Come.....

Chris Botti, Sting, John Mayer, Steven Tyler

Josh Groban and Keith Lockhart with the Boston Pops.....
These were the headliners for the concert I went to Thursday night
@ Symphony Hall in Boston. Talk about being totally blown away
would be an understatement....:) Playing to a sold-out crowd
Chris Botti put on the show of 2008 which was taped for an
upcoming PBS Special. Every time the stage door opened the
audience was thrilled with the blending of Botti & his celebrity
quests. Sting & Josh Groban were superb with a special surprise
appearance of John Mayer. But the performance that really did
it for me was when rocker Steven Tyler graced the stage with an
over the top rendition of “Cryin” in full rock attire contrast to
everyone's basic black.....:)

With my backstage pass @ least I was
able to wish Sir Sting a Great Show....:)

It makes you wonder with the election in less then 49 days,
how the GOP will manipulate the perception that everything
is O.K. Just sit back & elect McCain & watch how low America

Saturday We Went to an Obama Rally...

Obama is leading 47% to John McCain's 45% (9/17) Go Dems!
In these difficult times especially for Hillary supporters it was
time to take the plunge & listen to what Obama had to say in the
flesh. On Saturday we got up @ the crack of dawn to see Obama.
The rally was 8,000 strong on a gorgeous New England day in
Manchester, New Hampshire. His speech was direct & very real.
We have to support Obama because the alternative would be
disastrous for our LGBT community & America. With only 50
days until the election let's come together & do what we can.

In 2002 I produced & directed this music video tribute dedicated

to those who perished on September 11th 2001. Michael Feinstein
performs Leonard Bernstein & Stephen Sondheim's "Somewhere"
from "West Side Story." I thought it would be helpful to share this
moving work with our community...

We had the rare opportunity to have a conversation with

Oscar & Emmy Award Winner Alan Ball about our LGBT
community in the media, his new HBO Series "True Blood"
& his new movie "Towelhead." Check it OUT: Length: 11:28

Alan Ball is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter, director,
producer & occasional actor, who is best known for writing the
screenplay for the Oscar-winning film "American Beauty" & for
creating the HBO original drama series "Six Feet Under." He is
also openly gay & a strong voice for our LGBT community.

"True Blood" is a new TV series based on the "Southern Vampire
Mysteries" books by Charlaine Harris & adapted for television by
Alan. The series is produced by HBO in association with Ball's
production company. I caught the first episode & it lives up to Alan's
magic!! The show details the fictional co-existence of vampires &
humans in a small Louisiana town after Japanese made synthetic
blood "TruBlood" becomes available for purchase. Anna Paquin stars
as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress @ a diner who falls in
love with one of the vampires, Bill Compton played by Stephen Moyer.
The show is on Sunday nights @ 9PM EST on HBO....

When McCain announced his selection of anti-choice Governor
Sarah Palin as his Vice President running mate America questioned
her qualifications. Now with the news that her 17 year old daughter
is 5 months pregnant & about to have a shotgun wedding we learn
that McCain was aware of this situation prior to his selection.
And they have the nerve to judge our LGBT families???
Then watching Cindy McCain & Laura Bush with their Stepford
wives personas addressing the GOP Convention in attempt to
reach-out to America in preparation for the on come of hurricane
Gustav after the Bush administration's disastrous handling of
Katrina you have to ask yourself; Who’s writing this script???
