Charlotte Robinson, CEO OUTTAKE MEDIA™
Charlotte’s career in broadcasting spans over four decades beginning in Boston at PBS/WGBH-TV and then at WCVB-TV where she broke the glass ceiling as the first woman audio engineer, camerawoman and editor. She then headed to NYC where she acquired freelance positions at ABC-TV and NBC-TV before accepting a staff position with CBS Inc. During her five years at CBS her credits included CBS News with Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather as well as post- production director for network news and daytime promos. She then joined CBS Sports where she earned the Emmy Award for her accomplishments on NFL-Today. While at CBS Sports she became an established music producer for NFL-Today and the U.S. Open. After leaving CBS Inc., her corporate clients included: ABC News, Time Warner, Dupont, Sony, Condé Nast Publications as well as numerous music videos for MTV. Besides her stellar broadcasting career Charlotte attributes her commitment to excellence in content from serving as a Blue Ribbon Panelist for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences News and Documentary and Daytime Emmy Awards for over ten years. Her professional expertise was judging the best in News and Documentaries in the Background News Analysis category and best in Daytime in the Outstanding Talk Show category.
In addition, Charlotte has served as a Strategic Partner for the DNC, HRC, NARAL and Greenpeace. Her expertise assisted these organizations in raising millions of dollars for lobbying in Washington D. C. With her lifetime commitment to civil rights, in 2004 she produced and directed the acclaimed short film OUTTAKE™ addressing marriage equality that morphed into the online network OUTTAKE MEDIA LLC. In 2008 Charlotte launched OUTTAKE VOICES™ the weekly podcast series with over 500 episodes that she hosts. Guests include Alan Ball, Ricky Martin, Senator Tammy Baldwin, Rep Barney Frank, Kyra Sedgwick, Kathleen Turner, John Waters, Dustin Lance Black, Tab Hunter, Loni Anderson and comedian Margaret Cho to name a few. Recently Ms. Robinson was honored by the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition with the 2018-2019 MBCC Appreciation Award for providing a voice for hundreds of LGBTQ+ organizations and allies including MBCC. Currently Charlotte is producing a series of issue driven PSA’s at GBH in Boston.
